WebWith our installation, a (hopefully) soon to be buried drop cable runs from an underground drop box near the street to a plate on the exterior of our home. A single hole was drilled through siding and an exterior wall to supply a cable to a wall jack. Our Nokia ONT and eero Pro router are sitting next to each other on a TV stand close to the jack. WebMetronet will only drop the FTTH and ONT where you specify. The eero mesh they provide is okay, but you'd be better off adequately supplying your home with wifi using some mid level gear like unifi or engenius. As he said, you're better off wiring everything back to the ONT.
