As long as the housing has not been over tightened it should be ok, just have a good look at it make shore it's not cracked. I would think it will be ok it's normally the cooper ones we have problems with. But it's alway worth a look. While it's apart it's worth doing the thermostat, thermostat from mini comes with the gasket.
