WebJun 23, 2005 · The ignition has a large pin on it that when you turn it back to the lock position, the pin moves forward into the head tube and locks the steering. I had to pull the ignition switch out about an inch and crank the bars. It eventually broke the end of the locking pin so the lock will no longer work. WebThe fork lock on my current bike tends to jam up and stick to the point that I don't use it because I have a feeling the same thing that would happen. Try moving the key back to the locked position and moving the forks side to side as you turn the lock. If that works, don't lock them again.
